Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 17, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies HTTTP.IN uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. Please read this policy alongside our Privacy Policy.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to site owners. Cookies are not harmful — they cannot execute code or carry viruses.

We also use localStorage (browser storage that persists across sessions without an expiry date set by the server) for certain user preferences. These are not transmitted to our servers and are noted in the table below.

Cookies We Use

Essential Cookies

Required for the Service to function. Cannot be disabled.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration Type
shortlink_session Laravel session cookie. Maintains your authenticated session so you stay logged in as you navigate the app. Set by Laravel Sanctum. Session (browser close) or 2 hours of inactivity Essential
XSRF-TOKEN Laravel CSRF protection token. Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks by verifying that requests originate from our application. Session Essential
remember_web_* Laravel "Remember Me" token. Keeps you logged in for up to 30 days when you tick the "Remember me" checkbox at login. 30 days Essential

Preference Storage (localStorage)

Stored in your browser's localStorage. Not transmitted to our servers.

Key Name Purpose Duration Type
sl_theme Stores your UI theme preference (light or dark mode) so it persists across visits without requiring a server round-trip. Persistent (until cleared) Preference
sl_analytics_consent Records your analytics cookie consent decision (accepted or declined) so we do not show the cookie banner on every visit. Persistent (until cleared) Preference
sl_sidebar_collapsed Remembers whether you have collapsed the dashboard sidebar so your layout preference is preserved. Persistent (until cleared) Preference

Third-Party Cookies

Set by third-party services embedded in the Service. Require your consent.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration Type
__stripe_mid Set by Stripe on checkout pages. Used for fraud detection and to associate a payment session with a browser device. See Stripe Privacy Policy. 1 year Third-Party
__stripe_sid Set by Stripe on checkout pages. Session identifier used during a Stripe Checkout or payment intent flow. 30 minutes Third-Party

How to Control Cookies

You have several options to manage cookies:

  • Cookie consent banner: On your first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies. You can change your choice at any time via Settings → Privacy → Cookie Preferences.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. See your browser's help documentation for instructions.
  • localStorage: You can clear localStorage via your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → right-click to clear).

Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning correctly. Disabling third-party Stripe cookies will prevent you from completing payments.
